Quality registries
Sweden has more than 100 national quality registries that provide unique insights into how healthcare and social care are delivered and how they can be improved.
UCR is one of Sweden’s national registry centres and is responsible for the development and management of several quality registries. UCR also offers registry-related expertise and technical solutions to international partners.
At UCR, both registries with Region Uppsala as data controller and registries from other data controllers are managed.
UCR ensures quality, security and long-term management of quality registries, with expertise in legal and regulatory requirements, informatics, and the development and operation of registries and registry-based studies.
UCR has extensive experience in:
- developing registries across a wide range of medical areas in close collaboration with healthcare professionals
- using health data to support data collection according to established standards and meet future needs in research and data sharing
- generating reports and supporting access to and interpretation of data from quality registries and registry-based studies
- working in collaboration with national and regional stakeholders, including Sweden’s regions, national programmes and clinical experts, to develop and maintain quality registries
